Obituary for John Solomon Tucker

On Wednesday September 12, 2018, John S. Tucker peacefully
entered eternal rest in Laurel, Maryland. John Solomon Tucker
(affectionately known as “Bro”) was born on September 10, 1931
in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. John was an avid Washington
Redskins fan as well as other local sports teams like the Washington
Capitals, and the Washington Senators, which later became
the Nationals. John enjoyed spending time with family and
friends at functions, holiday gatherings, and reading auto and
home improvement books. He leaves to cherish his loving wife of
60 years Frances “Frankie” Tucker. His children Edwyn
“Cissy” (Maurice) Corley, Yolanda “Bunny” Tucker, Kristen
“Krissy” Tucker, and Timothy “Tim” (Valerie) Tucker. Six grandchildren
Shereen (Melvin) Holmes, Katrina Corley, Quincy
Pinkney, Anthony (Shanika) Tucker, Jonathan Tucker, and Kayla
Tucker. Three great-grandchildren Melvin III, Joshua, and
Jeremiah Holmes. One sister, Clara Wilson; and host of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.
